This is quite the windfall of prizes you’ve got here! I’ve been looking (unsuccessfully) for some proper toile to make a dress with, but I see there’s some toile-like prints on linen ( http://www.hartsfabric.com/french-fleurs-red-63973.html ), which I’d love to get my hands on! Plus it looks sort of peony like, and then it’d be a peony Peony.

I would love a new dress like this for fall in a wool! I would choose the designer knit wool fashion fabric in orange. I can imagine pairing it with some grey leggings and peacoat with some nice boots!

Ok, this might be crazy, but I think Peony would look stunning with Rosettes Fashion Fabric Cream or pink. I love the 3D effect of the rosettes. I think Peony made with the cream would make an amazing “short” wedding dress.

I’d love to use Retro Ruby Star Rising Vintage Dishes in Blue for the skirt and a lemony colour for the top. So fun!

Thanks for introducing me to another great online fabric retailer! I’m stuck in a remote location here in TX where the only fabric store in town does not carry more than quilting cotton and cheap broadcloth. :)

If I could choose any of the fabrics for my Peony, I would choose the Anna Sui Tiny Check Wool Blend fabric, making the dress completely office appropriate. But that would be my conservative choice. To spice things up a bit, I’d like to also make a Peony out of a vibrant pattern such as the Floral Rayon Challis, and underline it for stability.
