Right now I am loving a black knit pencil skirt I made…and can’t wait to make another out of some lovely Italian wool I recently bought.

My favorit, or favorits, rigth now are my long skirts. I have begun to let them be 5 cm longer, covering the knees and I just love the retro-feel there is to it :)

My favourite piece of clothing right now is also one of my latest makes – a 1950’s sleeveless shirt pattern, made in an animal-print cotton. Nice and light for summer weather, and fun to wear.

My favorite piece of clothing right now is a blue vintage dress (burda 11/1956 model 9858) I`ve made, that was on my wishlist for a very long time. I love it!

My favourite item of clothing at the moment is my new pair of chunky wool knee high socks. I seem to be permanently in my wellies just now (I live in Scotland; it’s very wet!) and they make me feel like I am at least trying to be stylish despite the rubber functionality of my footwear.

Fantastic giveaway! My favourite item of clothing right now has to be a freshly made skirt. It’s the first thing I’ve sewn in a while (i’ve been really busy with school!) and it felt so good to sit down and sew and zone out in a creative space and have something productive to show for it! I feel good every time I wear it, and it constantly reminds me how much I love to sew and need to find more time to do it.

That’s so funny, I just finished reading Tim Gunn’s new book and was starting to get interested in Ms. McCardell.

Currently, my favorite item is the beret I just knitted (the Sweet Honey beret). It warms me up when the temperatures dip at night, is small enough for me to carry around until I need it, and can be worn every day without judgement. And I just love the color – dark green with gold heather.

My favourite piece of clothing is a brown wool pinafore from metalicus. I’ve had it for years and in the winter I like to pair it with a white tee, a red cardigan and red tights…it makes me feel like a robin!

My favorite piece right now is a maxi circle skirt I made a couple weeks ago. It was originally an old circular tablecloth I found at Goodwill and the cotton has developed such a soft, worn hand. It was also striped and I was so worried that they would fall in a weird way when the skirt was worn but they don’t. In fact, the now diagonal stripes make me look just a touch taller!

My favorite piece at the moment is a Meringue-skirt black wool I made in november from the Colette handbook. While I was stiching it I very much doubted I´d wear it, but it turns out it goes with everything i my warderobe and I need a elegant but warm skirt more than I expected.

My facorite clothing piece are my Bell Bottom Jeans. I really do not care if they are out-of fashion or not, I just can’t stop wearing them. Skinny jeans are just not my thing. Currently I am making a mini-dress to wear over my jeans. Love that style!

Well… right now my favourite piece of clothing is… um… well, pretty boring: my pair of jeggings I bought last spring maybe at Tesco:) It is sooo comfy, I love it.

My answer to this question will always be my jeans: a dark wash, skinny but not too skinny, no gap at the waist pair of Levis. I’ve been wearing them with boots and sweaters lately and I’ll wear them with flats and a cardi come spring. I love my jeans.

I love my new down coat from the north face that really keeps me warm in the morning while commuting although it is not as stylish as my previous designer coats. It took me a while to realize I best invest in what I need over what I fancy.

I would love to win a copy of his book and the gift voucher! I am an avid seamstress and think it would only improve my skills and allow me to purchase one of your scrumptious patterns!

My favourite piece right now is a very simple a-line skirt made from a heavy navy gabardine from my stash. It’s the perfect lengh, it’s heavy enough not to lift when it’s stormy, it’s warm and just really really comfy. And it goes with such a huge portion of my wardrobe.

I wonder what the author would say about this ;-)

My sister just gave me the most perfect blue and white skirt with a bright red sash. I’m wearing it right now with a dark blue top and a silver cardigan. I also just finished an all black little dress with black satin piping which I love.

Great giveaway! This book looks lovely and I just love the description of pockets!

This is a really difficult one, but I’m going to go with the Charlotte skirt I finished last night and am wearing for the first time today. It’s a pencil skirt in a black chevron weave wool mix. The fabric was hell to work with, I made loads of stupid mistakes during the make, and I actually don’t think it’ll last very long (the fabric frays like crazy and is likely to “pull” very easily), but it’s the first pencil skirt that’s ever fitted me, I love the look of the fabric, and it’s cosy for this time of year. Although I know it won’t last for ever, and am aware of the messiness inside, I love how it fits and how it makes me feel (very grown up, and even just a little bit sexy), so this is my new favourite!

My favorite piece of clothing is, unfortunately not one that I can wear every day. I had done a little quilting and craft sewing in my first few years of having a sewing machine but clothing terrified me.

One day, I was lucky enough to run into someone from the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism) who was dressed up as a viking woman. Her outfit was amazing! I complimented her on it, we started to talk about it and she told me that the pattern was actually incredibly simple and that I should come to her house the next weekend because she was having a sewing get-together and she could teach me to make my own dress like hers.

Three projects later, I decided to jump feet first into a complicated and far too advanced pattern. I made myself an entire Elizabethan outfit from the skin out, corset included. A few years later, of course there are some things that I’d like to fix or change about my Elizabethan dress but I still get as excited as a teenager the night before prom when I’m waiting for an event where I can dress up in my favorite dress ever.

My favourite piece of clothing at the moment is a beautiful mint green skirt that has birdcages and cherry blossom flowers printed on it.
This item started its life as a 50’s inspired full circle skirted dress that I brought on line, however the bust was too tight so I removed the bodice and now it’s a beautiful, comfortable amd delightfully spinny skirt.

My favorite piece of clothing is a lightweight cotton cardigan that I got as a hand-me-down years ago. It’s black and plain and goes with everything and is perfect for layering.

My favorite piece of clothing at the moment is a heather gray slouchy newsboy cap I crocheted last week. I’m hoping for 6 more weeks of winter so I can keep wearing it!

My favorite right now is my wicked knitted vest I made. It. Is cute while being comfy and warm in this cold weather!

My favourite garment these days is the second t-shirt I sewed. After reading Carole Jackson’s “Colour me beautiful” I’m trying to add more colours to my everyday clothing palette and make more accurate garment choices. I used a lovely soft orange organic cotton knit that is, by the way, the most flattering I’ve ever worn. Now it’s my most wear garment, it cames out of my closet at least twice a week!!

My favourite item of clothing at the moment is a black knit top with 3/4 sleeves and a round neckline – great for officewear, a brilliant basic, plus it’s warm so I don’t freeze in the airconditioning!

My favorite item of clothing just now is my new gray wool/cashmere blend coat I bought recently with Christmas gift cards. I deperately needed a new winter coat and LOVE this one! It’s so warm and flattering to my figure. Thank you for the opportunity to win such lovely gifts!

My fave piece of clothing is the retro apron I sewed last year. It was my first attempt at sewing something that was meant to be worn, and I love the way it turned out. It has inspired me to try an actual garment this year, right after i finish studying for the bar exam. Thanks for the chance!

My favorite is my cow print angora sweater! It’s absurd, but always a good conversation starter.

My favorite is the tailored “men’s style” shirt I just made – complete with flat felled seams and tower plackets. It is good to stretch your sewing skills and master bits of precision sewing. After all, not everything can be “fast and furious”.

Right now, one of my favorite pieces of clothing is my vintage 1950s car coat. It’s made of pink and lavender-gray wool and it has huge pink buttons. It’s a bit itchy around the collar but I love it. The fit is perfect and it’s warm and comfortable.

My favourite thing at the moment is the last thing I knit that turned out well (we shall not speak of the ‘cloche’ hat that turned out bucket-sized when I tried to shrink it a bit). It’s a version of the Cria cardigan designed by Ysolda Teague, in grey merino that I brought back from a trip to Australia, with clear glass vintage buttons that I bought at a music festival. It’s warm, and flattering, and although it’s not perfect it does everything that I wanted it too.

I also have another garment that is in my head a lot at the moment (a ponte dress in a smoky duck egg blue) – but as this is purely imaginary until I get around to making it, it doesn’t count!

My favorite piece of clothing is my brown wool sweater. I love it so much and it is so warm. It is starting to fray around the wrists but I can’t seem to find another one that I love as much as it. I found this one at the thrift store a few years ago and I would love to knit one for myself so it would be exactly the way that I want. I think a lot of us have something that we just love to bits. I think about the velveteen rabit when I wear it.

I’m loving my latest version of Vogue 8552 made using a super lightweight and cool linen. Perfect for the tropical summer.

my favorite piece of clothing is a dress i made with lots of contrast (burda style 12/12 #130) it has contrasts, no sleeves, and pleats – all things i love!

My go to item right now is black leggings. They help winterize my vintage and handmade dress wardrobe. I also love wearing Minnetonka boots (in several styles) as they are so comfortable and bring down the formality of wearing a dress or tunic. I prefer not to torture my feet and back by wearing heels or high boots on walks to and from my child’s school and field trips…I’m still a mom, after all!

My fave piece right now is a blouse I bought just before Christmas. It’s got a cool aqua and yellow bird print on a cream background on it, with a peter pan collar. Too cute! I’d love the chance to win the book, the snippets in your post are very intriguing.

My favorite piece of clothing is the pair of work-out capris that my husband have me for Christmas.

Right now, my favorite thing to wear is my Peony dress. It’s made out of a cotton fabric with an Eiffel Tower print on a bright red background. It’s such a happy, cheery dress which is just the ticket for gloomy winter days!

My favourite item to wear right now, is a fitted dress I bought. It’s made from a knit fabric and is super comfortable while making me feel attractive. I’m looking for a similar fabric -preferably a cotton- to make a copy of it and make the fit over the hip a bit looser.

I just finished a blouse that I love! The top half is from the bodice of the Peony dress, and I just added a peplum for the bottom half. It turned out really cute :)

My favorite item of clothing at the moment is a breezy white cotton/linen high low tank top with a dramatic sweep at the back. Perfect for the hot weather in Mexico!

Here’s to hoping… My favourite dress of the moment is in raspberry red wool crêpe, have long slim buttoned sleeves, and hasa draped neckline – high in the front, low in the back. It’s from the 1960s, hugs every curve and cost me less than a lunch out on the town. I feel outstanding just by thinking of it!

My favorite item of clothing happens to be pair of hand-knit wool thigh-high stockings I knit for myself. The blue, khaki and green stripes on the stockings makes staying warm in winter fun. It also means I am warmer in a skirt/dress when it is -5 F than I would be in pants. Now most of my skirts/dresses that would be relegated to 3-season wear can be worn year round, and I am more than adequately dressed for the weather.

Right now I am loving a pair of jeans my husband got for me at Goodwill. The fit is really great. Great giveway, thanks!

My current favourite is a tweedy green tangled yoke cardigan that I knitted a few years ago. The fit is just perfect and I love the colour. My sewn clothes have been a bit more miss than hit mainly due to two pregnancies making my shape rather yoyo!
