Studio Snapshots: Work Hard & Treat Yourself

When releasing a new pattern, things at Colette HQ go into hyperdrive. Fittings, photoshoots, design, and educational content keep us all busy and it’s well worth it. As one of the newer kids at Colette, I have really enjoyed learning about all the different facets of the process. We all worked together, with our own expertise, to create Rue. Here’s a little look behind the scenes!

Of course, when working hard we’ve all got to take some time to “Treat Ourselves!” We’ve recently started to take 20 minutes out of our Tuesday afternoons to wind down and do some yoga. We usually end up giggling more than stretching but both are therapeutic.

Also, we are all just a bunch of Virgos and Libras at Colette and our birthdays always come in big ol’ waves. This month the lovely Anna, Haley, and Taylor had birthdays! We celebrated with an outrageously delicious raspberry chocolate cake; which caused a very exciting sugar-rush-fueled 3pm and a very sleepy 4:30pm.

Love that” behind the scenes”-post! Looks like you are really having fun at work. I wish I had such a creative job. And more cake.
Have a great weekend!

What a lovely read; thank you for sharing!
And what a lovely dress?! A wrap dress made of woven isn’t very common. There’s the Colette Crepe, which is on its way to me via a moving sale on Etsy; however, that one wraps in the back. Wonder if I can make it wrap in the front?

Happy Birthdays to you all! I am also a Virgo. I love the pattern but the neckline is a little daring for me. I guess if you’ve got it you can show that part off proudly, but I still am old fashioned and like a classic neckline. I think it might ruin the dress to change it though.
