Her post about the pants: Maroon Clovers

What kind of fabric did you use? As this was intended to be a muslin I used a cheap fabric I bought at a local shop. The fabric was labelled bio-suiting, which I have no idea what it means. It’s definitely man made and not the most comfortable on the skin. It also does not crease which is wonderful for day to day wear but quite challenging to press whilst sewing. For the pockets I used a fat quarter of a quilting fabric I won in a competition.

How did you decide to reflect your personal style in the pattern? As this was a muslin make that turned out wearable there are not many personal touches. I focused on constructing according to the instructions to iron out any fitting or construction challenges. I was quite keen to get a pleasing colour palette and was lucky to find this fabric in a lovely maroon. Perfect colour for Autumn/Fall!

What thoughts do you have about the project? This was a fantastic make! The style is so elegant and classic and the construction was quick and easy. I particularly love the way the waistband is constructed, rendering a perfect finish in the easiest possible way. I will definitely do more of these!

Thanks, Suzy!

I am making maroon clovers! My first try didn’t go so well (overestimated the amount of stretch) and I am on to round two. Suzy’s turned out wonderful!

I’ve seen a lot of clovers around the web lately and yours is by far the best fitting pair I’ve seen. Well done!

I can tell you that they’re the Clara shoes by Miss L Fire. I’ve been eyeing them for a couple of months now- they’re gorgeous. There are many sellers, but I think google searching the shoe name and designer is probably your best bet, since the green shoes are sold out on the UK seller’s site, but can be found elsewhere if you poke around online.

Also, the pants are gorgeous. Well done!

Thank you all for your comments! On my clovers and on my shoes! They are indeed Miss L Fire ones. They’re gorgeous and very, very confortable. Didn’t realised they have sold out already, I bought them about 2 months ago. Since then I already bought another Miss L Fire pair. Need to restrain myself.
