A bit of Rooibos
We’re working on getting the gallery updated, but just had to share some lovely Rooibos dresses with you. this first one is from Rachel and I can’t tell you how beautiful I think she looks in it. She’s also blogged about it here.
Amelie posted this photo in the Colette Patterns Flickr group, which looks so so lovely in grey polka dots. I like grey and polka dots together, the subdued color makes the pattern so much more grown up.
Really adore this fabric combo and the little pin from all buttoned up. The jewelry looks like it was made for this dress.
Shelly teaches the Rooibos class at Bolt here in Portland, so I had a hard time picking one out from her! But this little number in shot cotton really stood out to me.
And there’s this wonderful combo from actionhero. I am really liking the little bits of pattern mixed with all the solid.
Lady Science calls this one the Star Trek Dress because that’s what she watched while sewing it. Seems appropriate somehow. She looks amazing in it.

Pretty! I don’t own this pattern (yet) but these photos are inspiring me to add it to my collection :)

Sarai, I swear I’ll get my Oolong done soon so it will have another view in the Gallery. It still shocks me that more people haven’t made that dress! If you don’t mind, compared to the others, how has it done in pattern sales?

Ha, don’t worry! The gallery is quite lopsided since updates to it are sporadic, so there are definitely more Oolongs I haven’t gotten around to posting yet. It does sell pretty well!

Thanks Sarai! Rooibos is my fave Colette Pattern to date. I have also made a red and black one that I will blog soon. I just bought the Lady Grey coat pattern too – a big project for me when my broken arm is better.

Thanks, Sarai! I get lots of “Where did you get that dress?!” when I wear it. Then I tell them that I made it, that it’s a great pattern and they should try it.
