New lower shipping prices!

shipping-bins

As I mentioned on Friday, we’ve made some big changes along with our move into a new studio. The most important one is overhauling the way we do shipping.

Working with an outside fulfillment warehouse has been vital to our ability to grow. I really can’t imagine how different things would be if we hadn’t made that switch years ago.

But we got to a point where it just made sense to bring it back home. We were dead set on getting our shipping prices down for you guys (and for our retailers).

So from this point on, we have a completely new and more efficient shipping system, run by the fantastic Meg.

The bottom line

We’ve reduced shipping prices across the board, for all kinds of orders. International customers will especially notice a huge drop in shipping rates, as we’re passing on all the efficiencies straight to you.

Not only are there lower rates, but we also are able to ship now with more options, including cheaper shipping methods for many orders that we weren’t able to use before. So that’s the deal!

Check it out in the shop!

I, for one, am really happy to hear this! I’ve hesitated on buying patterns because while I’ve wanted the hard copy version (i just like them so much better than print outs) I couldn’t justify shipping. And now I just added a couple to my cart and it is so affordable! So thank you for thinking of us and doing this!

i live here in Portland, and I was shocked at the shipping I was charged on the Moneta I bought from your webstore. I guess I didn’t pay attention when I was ordering, but when I saw the invoice in the package I was like, I would have driven to your office personally for that. Glad to hear it!

Wonderful! I am so used to looking, liking, and then not ordering – shipping to Canada was crazy! Off to pick something out with new, reasonable shipping rates. Thank you!

I used to find shipping to Canada reasonable for your patterns, but when it went up, I stopped buying. I will reconsider if shipping is less expensive. Shipping costs seem so arbitrary, I often make my sewing supply purchases based on whether a company has taken them into consideration.

this is fantastic. I really prefer paper patterns over pdf patterns and I am so happy you are able to lower the postage.

This is great news and I hope it brings in a lot more orders as well as customers. So that you continue making beautiful patterns for us to sew. :)

Yehh I’m so happy, especially for the international shipping! I really prefer paper pattern but I have to buy 3 or 4 or more patterns at the same time to rentabilize the shipping costs… so, I buy the pdf version most of the time…

Yay from an Aussie retail owner! This should make smaller ‘top-up’ orders more do-able.

I really love your patterns, they are so beautifully put together. Glad to hear that it will be easier to have them in the UK…

Well done for all the hard work that went behind the changes!

Oh YES! This changes things indeed! I have only ordered from you once (for my birthday, and had to buy 3 patterns to justify the shipping to Canada!). Otherwise, I love your patterns. But, since I don’t really dig PDF versions, I have been avoiding your shop despite your great talent, taste and dreamy patterns. It looks like my closet is going to be filling up with more and more Coletterie!!

YAY! I have only purchased two patterns [on sale] from you because of the costs of the patterns and shipping to Canada [not that they were necessarily unreasonable; just that it was not within what I can currently justify spending :)] and I was very excited to read that the shipping costs had been lowered. I popped right over to the shop with visions of the Lady Grey coat dancing in my head but I see it is not available right now, will you be stocking it again?

I’m afraid Lady Grey is officially out of print as of this morning! We just shipped the last one. Digital versions are still available though. There’s even a wide format version you can take to a copy shop if you hate piecing them together (since Lady Grey does have a lot of pieces, I know).

Hooray! I’ve wanted to buy the guide to knits for SO LONG because you can’t get it on amazon.ca, but shipping was horrendous for it before! Now I can finally get it! Thank you!

This is such a cool change. I live in Brazil and I looooved the printed patterns I’ve bought, but the shipping price would cost almost the double of the pattern. Love this news!! Congrats!
