Negroni giveaway!

To help celebrate Celebrate the Boy month (is that redundant?), we’re doing a little giveaway for a free Negroni men’s shirt pattern.

This is a really great pattern for learning some new techniques around sewing for guys. And as a bonus, if you need a little extra help, cheerleading, and inspiration, Peter is still doing an awesome Sew-along with this pattern!

All you have to do to win is post a comment and let me know who you’d like to make the Negroni for (whether it’s yourself or someone else). I’ll keep the comments open for 24 hours, then choose a winner using a random number generator. Good luck!

I would make my husband one- which would be really convenient because he is really tall and skinny and has a hard time finding long sleeve shirts that are long enough! Thanks for the giveaway!

I love the detailed instructions for all the Colette Patterns, and I especially like the slim fit of this shirt. I’d love to try it out.

I would love to start making shirts for my husband because he has decided that none of his shirts fit anymore. the donut maker I gave him for christmas might be a factor in that…

I would love to make my husband this shirt. He’d love to have some that fit him properly. Someday when I can sew a little faster I’d like to make my brother one too.

I’d like to make one for my hubby. He gets left out quite a bit. He loves pearl snap style shirts, so with the right fabric this would be perfect.

Hi! I would love to make one for my husband, but also for me! I love men’s shirts like this, and I love your patterns! I would love to win one. That will be one less I have to buy. (I’m slowly working my way down the list of all of your patterns!)

I was just telling my hubby how much I want to start making dress shirts for him but I need a pattern to start from. He is very long and lean, so most store bought shirts are short on his arms and tent like around his torso. But oh does he ever look sexy when in a properly fitted shirt.

My husband needs one of these! RTW shirts look terrible on him, he looks like a little boy wearing his fathers clothes. Hopefully I can win this, so I can make him something good to wear for our anniversary!

For my husband, definitely. I want to get over my fear of sewing a shirt, and make him one.

i would love to have the chance to make one for my husband. He’s italian and is very fussy about clothes so i’d love to make one in a very thin white cotton for the evenings spent wandering round the italian villages when we visit there.

plus i’ve never made anything for him before, so that could be fun!

My husband would love that shirt!!! He’s been requesting that I sew one for him… it’s a bit challenging since i’m quite a beginner, but it’s been on my mind for some time to give it a try, and this pattern seems just perfect!

i just asked my husband and he was thrilled with the idea that I would make some for HIM (as opposed to our three kids who get the bulk of my sewing time). A custom shirt for his hard-to-fit torso would be wonderful. Thanks for the giveaway..

My boyfriend finally returns home after three very long and hot months working in the tropics. Although he’s from here, it usually takes a few days for him to acclimate again to the cool San Francisco climate. I think making him the negroni shirt for those cold few days would be something he’d find very special and comforting!

I am so happy to see a pattern like this. Last year when I wanted to sew my husband a simple flannel shirt, I couldn’t find a men’s shirt pattern like this anywhere. No one sews shirts, they just go to Walmart and buy them for $7.00 ( child or slave sweatshop labor abroad!?!) I went to eBay and found a vintage men’s long sleeve shirt pattern from the 1950’s that was uncut and unused. I went to fabric.com and bought wonderful plaid flannel on sale and I cut out 6 shirts and went slowly and learned as I was doing. Learn to sew flat felled seams, learned to use the buttonhole attachment on my Singer 301, learned to have more patience when sewing. The outcome was something I am proud of and I see it every day when my husband puts on a shirt I sewed. I would love to have this pattern to try and I would again sew my husband a flannel shirt because the last thing I did on my machine was patch a hole in one of his shirts that he ripped on fence wire. It’s time to sew more shirts…

I love your patterns and once I get through the “oh my gosh I still need to make this for the kids” (we have 4) list, a few of your patterns are next. I have yet to see someone wearing something made fom your patterns that doesn’t look great in it, they are all so flattering!

My husband…he has large shoulders, but “L” size men’s shirts have way too much fabric to tuck in. This more closely cut shirt would probably work great for him.
