Giveaway Winner + Photo Round-up

Scrolling through the Seamwork Giveaway submissions has been a bright moment of my day since we announced the giveaway here.

When designing Seamwork Patterns we try our best to design garments that can be used as a blank canvas. Pieces for sewists to modify and customize to suit their signature style and build their personal wardrobe. Seeing all of these gorgeous makes in action is such an inspiring sight.

This round-up is just a small sampling of the many stunning submissions to the Seamwork Giveaway.

@stephaniepantello in an Osaka skirt, @teridodds1 in an Oslo cardigan, @maxantonia made an Aberdeen tunic, @saramixter in a Bristol skirt

Astoria is definitely the current crowd favorite. Paired with jeans it is a sweet and casual look, or worn with a skirt for a more vintage aesthetic. Astoria is a chameleon piece!

I love the classic appeal of this sweater sewn up in a solid, but the color-blocked versions have stolen my heart, and have jumped to the top of my sewing queue.

And now to announce the winner of the giveaway…

Wonderful! I love seeing the same pattern made up by different people. They are similar to each other yet each is unique.

Sydney topper is so unique – a real eye catcher I think it would go with the smooth lines of the Osaka skirt!
The bra is an essential we need every day – this one is truly beautiful… it is on my list to learn!

Wonderful work! I’m in my 60’s and trained as a Home Ec teacher. My emphasis was clothing and I absolutely love what younger people are doing in the needle arts. Well done! And thank you to Colette and all who inspire and teach.

My home ec class was my first introduction to sewing, and when I found that I loved it. You’ve probably shown many people the same thing! Thank you for what you do!

I’ve never been featured on a thing before! That’s my bra! I feel so special.

I love this magazine so much. I’ve not even been sewing a full year and the first thing I have actually made that I loved and that fit was the Florence Bra. Second was the Geneva panties. I’m setting aside my other projects and working through some of the other Seamwork patterns now because the instructions are awesome, the magazine walks me through a bunch of things I would otherwise have erred on, and I actually feel confident when I go to trace out a pattern instead of anxious/nervous/worried that I’m about to ruin something I paid good money for.

So. Thank you a billion!

Wow – so many talented seamstresses! I love the Sydney and Florence entries featured at the top, and so inspired to get sewing! But as we’ve just started winter in Australia, I see a couple of Mabel’s in my very near future.

Ha, can you tell I’m already planning my summer wardrobe (with a scalloped hem Mabel!). The winter immediate makes are some Astoria’s.
