This is a pattern I really want to make but I am fairly new to seeing. Can you reccomend a couple patterns to try first? I received your book for Christmas and although I’ve read it, I’ve not had the time to sew much this year- mostly since I have no dedicated sewing space. Do you think I’d be qualified to tackle the Negroni after sewing through the book?

It sort of depends on your confidence level, but I’d say you’d probably want to make several easy projects first to help you feel more assured. The instructions for Negroni are quite thorough, but there are some details that are a bit more challenging than you’ll find in beginner’s patterns.
That said, I’m planning to teach Kenn to sew using Negroni! So if you have someone to help you out with tough parts, that can make a huge difference.

This post reminded me that I should get started on this for Luke! :)

I love this shirt but I am still a selfish sewist. I want to make only stuff for myself!

I have a question about this shirt–does it have a shirt-tail type hem or is it cut straight across? I couldn’t really tell from the photos.
Thanks!
