Pattern of the month: Peony

peony-bodice

Our Pattern of the Month for April is Peony!

Peony is one of our all-time best selling patterns. It has a sweet, classic shape with a bateau neckline and removable cummerbund belt.

Through the end of April, you can get Peony for 20% off when you use code PEONYMONTH at checkout.

We’ll also be sharing a pattern hack next week to transform Peony into a very different style, using some of the methods Devon has recently covered in Seamwork.

Need to rummage through my stash when I get home to see if I have this– how bad is that I can’t recall? Dahlia or Hawthorn next, please!

I love Peony. It’s the only pattern I own at the moment. I’m so excited to see the modifications! I have 2 dresses from this pattern in florals. My husband requested a black dress, so I’m working on it. I added a tiny V cutout in the neckline.

Oh! This one has been on my wish list for a while. Would this work with a lighter weight fabric. Thinking about doing this in a linen – maybe something like this:https://www.fabric.com/buy/0312560/kaufman-brussels-washer-linen-blend-ocean
Or this:https://www.fabric.com/buy/ff-362/kaufman-cotton-linen-denim-6-oz-blue.

Would one of these work?

Also, btw, the swatch service is one of my favorite parts of teamwork! Takes so much of the guesswork out of online shopping – especially when you describe the opacity, hand and drape. These are so often lacking in online vendors but make such a huge difference!

Hate autocorrect! That should say seamwork!
