Weekend Reading: mammoths, going braless, and female friendship
Just a few links for you this week, but I highly recommend the first one, especially if you’re having a bad day, are feeling self-doubt, or are getting pressured by your family this time of year for whatever reason.
Weekend Reading:
- Why you should stop caring what other people think. You must read this. It made my week.
-
What it’s like to go braless for a week. I thought this looked like a silly article, but it actually made me think about the way we relate to our bodies and undergarments day to day. It’s sort of amazing that this one garment (or lack thereof) can cause so much vulnerability.
-
I like these tie dyed bamboo jerseys from fabric.com, especially the very dark and stormy looking ones.
-
Ami made Mabel in sequins!
-
I love drawn threadwork.
Weekend Listening:
- I really like the show All in the Mind from Australia’s RN. It’s all about the brain and behavior. I recently listened to the show on willpower, and it seems timely for the coming new year.
For more links every week, you can follow me on Twitter, where I’m always posting interesting tidbits I find.

Great links this week — I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them and even commented on the bra post (I’ve been making my own bras and now feel as if I have renewed insight:)).

I adore every post on Wait But Why. Especially the ones he did from Japan, Nigeria and Iraq.

Great Mammoth article! Thanks for this! About the braless for a week, I think my own Mammoth would not approve plus with a 34D I must say I would feel sooooo bad and I like my bras :-)
