Haberdashery: Vintage Owl Buttons

owl buttons

Perhaps my recent move to the pacific northwest has rekindled my love for woodland creatures, or maybe it’s my affection for anything that reminds me of Twin Peaks in any way*, but I’m finding these vintage owl buttons pretty hard to resist.

I have always rather loved novelty buttons–especially those featuring animals. These are so cute–too bad I have no reason to purchase some fun buttons right now! lol. :)

Novelty buttons are great, but you’re right that it’s often challenging to come up with uses for them.

These buttons are so cute! I just made a couple sweaters with cabled owls with button eyes… I wonder if I could have incorporated these owl buttons?
