Her post about the pattern: Ginger in Rich Aubergine
What kind of fabric did you use? I used a heavier weight stretch cotton in a rich aubergine colour. The colour attracted me to the fabric as it’s so chic and versatile and luckily the price tag was very affordable too!
How did you decide to reflect your personal style in the pattern? Initially, I wasn’t convinced this pattern would suit me. High waists and short torsos don’t tend to mix well, but after shortening the waistband by an inch I think I’ve managed to make it work. In fact, I loved the look of this finished project so much that I made another denim one that you can see here. I also have plans for a third…so watch this space!
What thoughts do you have about the project? This is such a quick, easy and satisfying project, regardless of your skill level. I love that the pattern seems to suit so many different types of fabrics, making it work well as both a winter and a summer staple. It’s also cleverly constructed so that there are no raw edges in sight, always a bonus in my book!
Thanks, Marie!

Gorgeous. The styling is impeccable: the mariniere top and dotted tights. Perfection!
