Doilly-embelished sweater
I can’t seem to visit home without picking up at least one cashmere sweater from the Goodwill near my parents’ house. This one was a lovely lilac color, and I love the way it snaps up the front.
I wear a lot of vintage cardigans and I have a rainbow of them in my closet, all sorted by color. I decided to give this one a bit of embellishment, mostly because I have amassed such a vast collection of vintage lace scraps, and this one was the exact same size as the collar.
It borders on precious, but I think it will look lovely with a really simple black dress or pencil skirt.

Very beautiful! What a great way to use all those crocheted doilies that our grandmothers spent so much time making. I recently completed a sweater refashion, also, although I took mine in a different direction. I’ll be using your idea for another sweater soon!

Oooh! I adore this–the simplicity of the embellishment is so lovely and effective. :) Gorgeous! Makes me want to dig up all the doilies I’ve been collecting up lately and do something with them… ;)

If you end up with too many cashmere sweaters I’ll take cast-offs! That color is beautiful, and the fits looks really flattering — great find!
